- Order Acceptance
The full balance of orders is required to be paid at the point of purchase before items are dispatched. The receipt of an email order confirmation by you constitutes our acceptance of an order and the conclusion of a contract between us. Ashgate Furniture Co. will always seek to meet the requirements of your order. During circumstances where we are unable to ship products due to unavailability, we will notify you as soon as possible and will refund the money for the unavailable products back into your account. Ashgate Furniture Co’s acceptance is therefore subject to the availability of products following the receipt of the confirmation email by you.
Confirmation emails must be read and checked by the customer. Ashgate Furniture Company cannot be held responsible if a mistake is made and the information on the order confirmation matches that of delivery.
Ashgate Furniture Co. endeavours not to make any errors on its website and to ensure that its descriptions, details and dimensions of its products, its prices and other information about its products, are accurate and up to date. However, errors can occur. If we identify an error that materially impacts your confirmed order, we will notify you as soon as possible and will provide you with the option of cancelling your order in full or the part(s) of your order affected by the misinformation.
Ashgate Furniture Co. reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order for any reason. Payment will not be taken, or will be refunded, for any refused orders. Verification of certain information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order. An order may not be accepted if such information is not forthcoming from you following such a request.
Prices and availability of products on the Site include VAT, and are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected when discovered, and Ashgate Furniture Co. reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions (including after an order has been submitted).
Returning customer discounts are non-transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with in-store, online or telephone offers, reductions or sales.
Ashgate Furniture Company deliver to mainland UK addresses at a standard charge, dependent on the size of the item, or postal area.The Company can offer delivery to Scotland, Highlands and Ireland (Northern & Republic) at a subsidised, but higher price.
Smaller items will be sent out using a courier or postal service to lower the cost of delivery.
Ashgate Furniture Company aims to delivery within the estimated time frame of either 21 working days and 2-4 working weeks for delivery of sofas, armchairs & beds. This is from the date the order is placed or from date of approval. Ashgate Furniture Company offers no compensation for late deliveries due to unforeseen circumstances.
Ashgate Furniture Company does not offer a furniture removal service outside of the Chesterfield area. The space where you would like installation of new products should be clear and accessible. No responsibility will be taken by Ashgate Furniture Company in the unlikely event of damages on delivery.
If the allocated time-slot for delivery is not appropriate you should make Ashgate Furniture Company aware immediately via email or telephone. Ashgate Furniture Company will re-arrange, however this could result in a delay in receiving your order. Failed delivery caused by you will result in the forfeit of the cost of delivery. The same charge will be applicable to re-deliver your items.
- Returns, Cancellations and Faults – Consumer Rights Regulations 2015
Some of our products come with a distressed and worn finish that is added at the point of manufacture to stylise items. This includes saw marks and strap marks. This is not a defect or fault and is not refundable or returnable for this reason alone.
Dimensions shown are to the nearest mm, measured to the widest points and are as quoted by the manufacturer of our products.
Cancellations – Distance Selling Regulations
In line with distance selling regulations customers making online purchases have the right to cancel orders up to 14 days after the goods are delivered. To cancel your order, please contact us via writing, email or telephone. Ashgate Furniture Co. will issue a complete refund for cancellations within this period.
Items must be returned in packaging and fit for resale. Postage for non faulty or unwanted items is to be paid for by the customer. A trackable and insured service must be used and Ashgate Furniture Company must be provided with a tracking number. Refunds are provided once the products are back with the seller.
If you have placed an order with us – in store or online, uploaded an image or comment, entered a competition, promotion or prize draw or signed up for our newsletter we may collect personal information about you. We will also require your credit/debit card details (except if you are paying via PayPal) when you are placing an order.
