By continuing to browse and use the Ashgate Furniture Company website, you are agreeing to comply with, and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use:

1. Delivery

1a) Ashgate Furniture Company deliver to mainland UK addresses as a standard charge, dependent on the size of the item.
1b) The Company can offer delivery to Scotland, Highlands and Ireland (Northern & Republic) at a subsidised, but higher price.
1c) Smaller items will be sent out using a courier or postal service to lower the cost of delivery.
1d) Ashgate Furniture Company aims to delivery within the estimated time frame of 14 working days. This is from the date the order is placed or from date of approval.
1e) Ashgate Furniture Company offers no compensation for late deliveries due to unforeseen circumstances.
1f) Ashgate Furniture Company does not offer a furniture removal service, the space where you would like installation should be clear and accessible. No responsibility will be taken by Ashgate Furniture Company in the unlikely event of damages on delivery.
1g) If the allocated time-slot is not appropriate you should make Ashgate Furniture Company aware immediately. Ashgate Furniture Company will re-arrange, however this could result in a delay in receiving your order.
1h) Failed delivery caused by you will result in the forfeit of the cost of delivery. The same charge will be applicable to re-deliver your items.

2. Placing Orders

2a) Orders can be placed online, or by telephone.
2b) The full balance of orders is required to be paid at the point of purchase before items are dispatched.
2c) If for any reason your ordered goods are unavailable, Ashgate Furniture Company will contact you to offer a suitable alternative or issue a full refund.
2d) Confirmation emails must be read and checked by the customer. Ashgate Furniture Company cannot be held responsible if a mistake is made and the information on the order confirmation matches that of delivery.
2e) Returning customer discounts are non-transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with in-store, online or telephone offers, reductions or sales.

3. Returns, Cancellations and Faults

Faulty Goods
3a) If any goods arrive damaged or defected please contact Ashgate Furniture Company immediately. Responsibility cannot be accepted after a 48 hour period.
3b) Photographic evidence may be requested when reporting faulty goods.
Cancellations
3c) Orders may be cancelled within 3 days of checkout via writing, email or telephone.
Returns
3d) Items must be returned in original packaging and fit for resale, within 14 days of purchasing.
3e) Postage for non faulty or unwanted items is to be paid for by the customer. A trackable and insured service must be used and Ashgate Furniture Company must be provided with a tracking number.
3f) No collection service is offered by Ashgate Furniture Company

4. Pricing, Sale & Offers

4a) Prices seen on the product page include VAT at the current rate and exclude delivery charges.
4b) Ashgate Furniture Company reserve the right to alter prices at any time. Customers who order an item at full price within two weeks of a permanent price drop or special sale offer can request a refund of the difference. This is at the discretion of the company. We are not obliged to offer refunds for offers and reductions, and will not for orders occurring beyond the two week period. Orders after a sale will be required to pay the full price, and will be exempt from the refund process.
4c) If a pricing error occurs Ashgate Furniture Company will contact you to offer a suitable alternative or issue a full refund.

5. Product Information

5a) Product information of items sold by Ashgate Furniture Company is accurate and complies with guidelines set by product suppliers and manufacturers.
5b) Our furniture is not handmade, the manufacturing process is carried out by the manufacturers of our products.
5c) Some of our products come with a distressed and worn finish that is added at the point of manufacture to stylise items. This includes saw marks and strap marks. This is not a defect or fault and is not refundable or returnable for this reason alone.
5d) Dimensions shown are to the nearest mm, measured to the widest points and are as quoted by the manufacturer of our products.

6. Liability

6a) Ashgate Furniture Company takes care to check the accuracy of the information given. However, we do not warrant that such information will be error free and the user acknowledges that information, products and services published may include inaccuracies and typological errors.

7. Privacy Police

7a) place an order, upload an image, upload a comment, enter any competition, promotion or prize draw or sign up for our newsletter we may collect your name, date of birth, address, email address, telephone number, mobile number and/or a password. We will also require your credit/debit card details (except if you are paying via PayPal) when you are placing an order.
7.b) We only use the information we collect about you carefully, lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Information we hold: If you have shopped with us we will hold your name, address, telephone number and email address. We will also hold the delivery address(es) for your orders and the password information associated with your account. We also maintain a record of your product selections. We will not disclose or pass on your details to any third party. We will use your email address to contact you to advise of any promotional offers or new product ranges. If you do not wish to be contacted please opt out or contact us.
7c) Ashgate Furniture Company may use your information for data capture and statistical data to help improve our website and services for you.

8. Promotional Materials and Data Capture

8a)  If you sign up to our newsletter, you can receive a number of emails from ourselves regarding offers, new products and inspirational content.
8b) We will only ever email you for the following things:

  • To serve website content to you.
  • To handle orders, deliver products and process payments and refunds.
  • To communicate with you about your orders.
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence and your contact details.
  • For our statistical or survey purposes to improve this website and its services to you

8c) If you consent or sign up to our newsletter, we will send information we believe to be relevant and of interest to you:

  • New products or special offers that may be of interest to you
  • To enter you in any competition, promotion or prize draw
  • To help us develop and improve our newsletter and site further.
  • Inspirational blogs and content
  • Information regarding products you have view on our site previously
